Lt. Lucrezia Noin starts the anime as a top OZ soldier who graduated from her class second only to Zechs Merquise. After her graduation, she takes a job training other soldiers in mobile suit combat at Lake Victoria, but she also aligns herself to Zechs instead of solely with OZ. An excellent mobile suit pilot in her own right, Noin accompanies him to regain the Sanc Kingdom, and later she leaves the OZ Organization when he does. Out of her love for Zechs, Noin takes Relena under her wing and helps rebuild the Sanc Kingdom, acting as the Captain of the Imperial Guard unit. However, despite the fact that she wishes for peace, Noin is another character who knows peace isn't won by talking - but rather by fighting. In the end, she joins the Peacemillion crew and the Gundam pilots to stop the war, but when confronted with killing Zechs or allowing him to continue fighting against everyone, Noin finds she just can't kill the man she loves. It doesn't really matter...Zechs can't kill her either.
