The Winner family is an Arabian Dynasty who made their fortune in outer space by constructing and working on the colonies. Mr. Winner is Quatre's father - a pacifist who disowned his only son after Quatre headed off in Operation Meteor against his wishes. He constantly berates Quatre and tries to make his son see the folly of the mission, but is only successful in really irritating Quatre.
There are also 29 daughters in the Winner family, all of which are test tube babies. Only one is seen in the series - Iria Winner is the oldest and a well-known doctor. She and her sisters whole-heartedly support their "baby brother" and his mission, and she makes sure to tell Quatre this when he ends up on the colony halfway through the series. Iria also cares for Quatre's wounds that he sustained in the Singapore battle on Earth.
Quatrina Winner is Quatre's deceased mother, and very little is known about her. However, it is known that she gave a normal birth to Quatre, but died in the process. Mr. Winner told his son that he was born in a test tube just like his sisters, seeing no point to make Quatre feel more important than the rest of the family.
