Fan Essay Rules

If you have a theory as to why a character acts a certain way, completes a certain action, or why they may or may not have romantic interests for another character, read the rules first before submitting your essay.

1. Essays must be of some length, preferably a few paragraphs and definitely not just a couple of sentences. They must be well-thought and planned, with references and support for your theory.

2. Spell checking your essays is a good idea, because if I can tell you haven't put thought into it or made effort to check your spelling, I won't post it.

3. Absolutely no bashing of any character, idea, relationship or another theory. If you feel Heero and Trowa should be a couple, do not bash Relena or Duo in your essay. On that note, don't bash Relena or Hilde period. I know they aren't favorite characters, but I will insist that on this site, all characters and relationships be respected. Personal feelings may go into essays, but if the essays are well thought and nicely written you should be able to avoid bashing a character. This means you must be open-minded and have toleration.

4. Essays may be written negatively about a character, relationship or idea. It is possible to do this without bashing or flaming. Hard, but possible.

5. Absolutely NO plagarism. DO NOT steal someone's essay word-for-word, from this site or any other site. I don't tolerate that at all, not after seeing so many people's works stolen and reposted without proper credit. If you didn't write it, don't take it.

6. Send your essays to sher_sites@yahoo.com with the following information included:

  • Tagline of "GW Essay"
  • The name you wish to go by on the essay. No last names, please.
  • Your email, and whether you would like it posted on your essay or not.
  • The title of your essay and what theory you will be exploring.
  • What characters your essay involves.
  • Your essay - in word.doc or .txt format.
